Back To School Favorites : College Edition

school

Hello September !  It's finally here and although summer is not gone yet that is how I feel after Labor day.  I am a bit nostalgic not because summer is over but because students are heading back to a new year of hard school work. I don't know why but I am sad !! I truly am. I thought that after graduating college I would be happy  because I would be entering the real world and finally i wouldn't have to write 10 page papers for my Global Communications class.

Last week I met with my best friend because she wanted  to buy her school supplies. I was just their by her side while she was looking around for notebooks and pens.  While I was looking around, I would see students looking for the same things. It was so funny that I told her to pick the pink five star notebook in my honor. So she did of course. My Family members think is pathetic but I have been in school all my life and I actually enjoyed being in school and learning new things.

So I decided to do a back to school post on what I would usually take to college with me. These would never leave my bag. I have included a Long Champ tote because it is my favorite bag I used it for 3 years straight and now it's just hiding in my closet because I don't want to throw it away, too many memories. I hope everyone that is going back to school have a great year full of achievements. While I can't wait to enter grad school in the Spring.

BTW this is my beat up Long Champ just in case you wouldn't believe me. :)

Easy Healthy Dinner !

Hello girls. I haven't been posting lately on my blog due to overload of work. When I get home all i want is a relaxing bath and bed. Thankfully I have a long weekend. I didn't have to work today nor Monday due to Labor day. When I am home I love to cook it is one of my hobbies that I have for the past years. I admit i was not a good cook but little by little I have learned. I am all for healthy, easy recipes that won't take too long to make especially on my free day. So today I decided to share with you my dinner. My camera was on my dining room and I said to myself why not share my recipe. so here it is Stuffed red peppers.

Fresh Organic peppers from the Farmers Market

93% Organic Ground Beef

Stuff the peppers with meat !

Dinner Is ready !

Recipe

1 or 1/2 pound of lean ground meat. I used beef, but you can also make them with chicken or turkey.
season the meat with garlic, salt and pepper to taste and a bit of lemon juice.

Preheat your pan on medium and add
1 tbs - Olive Oil
add the meat and let it brown for 10 to 15 minutes then add 1/2 cup of natural tomato sauce or Pomi which is also natural tomato sauce you can get it at your near buy supermarket. let it simmer for another 15 minutes in total 30 minutes.

Meanwhile preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Then you will want to cut the top of your Peppers and deseed them. You can scrape all the inside with a small spoon.

fill the peppers with meat and spray a bit of olive oil in the baking pan. Put it in the oven for 25 to 30 minutes.

And their you have the stuffed peppers.

It's an easy recipe and also you can eat it how ever you want. I had  left over brown rice and avocado and decided to have it with that.

Enjoy !

Have a nice weekend

BTW first recipe on Blog !! YAY

Review On L'oreal Paris Ombre kit

Wild Ombre

Flash On

Flash Off

Hello everybody. I know I have been a bit distant this week but I have been running around going to different interviews. Hopefully I get a call back, fingers crossed. Anyways I had  my eye on the Ombre look for a long time I had seen many celebrities with this type of hairstyle. I decided after months of trying to decide if i would get it or not. To go to  my local drugstore and buy the L'oreal Paris Ombre Kit. It's price is around 13 dollars. which is way cheaper then getting it done at the hair salon, that was a big plus for me.

On Friday night while watching mean girls I decided to try it. Imagine me sipping wine with the gloves on. Here is the thing I have never dyed my hair by myself and the last time I decided i wanted to color my hair was when I was 15 years old. I wanted highlights, I basically had to beg my mom to get streaks in my hair. All I had now was my natural hair color. So i was scared that my hair wouldn't take the color.

I followed all the instructions which they are pretty easy. I parted my hair and started dying my hair using the brush it brings. Which it's great because you can do a subtle look or go all the way. I waited for 25 minutes as it says and checked it then I waited for another 5 minutes and washed it off with the conditioning shampoo that it brings. I was a bit scared after washing it off, but when I blow dried and  flat iron my hair I was happy with my new look. My friends couldn't believe i did it on my own. I am happy with the results and with this kit. Is affordable and it leaves you with a new look.

Pardon the pictures I was so happy that I took them really fast.

Soooo if you want that Ombre effect for this fall go for it. It is stylish and affordable.
