Untitled #562

Sweatshirt pants / sports bra / socks headband bags  /cookbook kitchen dining Yoga Mat Armband

I am so excited that December has finally arrived. November was not that good with me. I spent most of my days working hard and also with a terrible cold. I still have an ear infection from the cold and still taking antibiotics which i totally hate them. Other than that I am happy December has finally arrived. I truly am.

I am going to be doing a series of Gift Guide inspiration under 100 Bucks for gals like us that want to save and at the same time give gifts that we know are going to be useful.

I will be doing a series of Fitness, girly girl, guys gift, home gifts for our mom or a friend, girls that love makeup and Beauty and other thing along the way. The first gift guide will be for our friends or family members that are into fitness or are planning on getting fit as part of their new year resolution. This inspiration have tons of affordable clothing and items that your friend who is into wellness and Fitness will love.

These Items are all under 50 Bucks can you believe that. I can't! I have added from a fun water bottle to a cooking book. This gift guide is perfect for the gal who enjoys working out, eating healthy or is simply trying to start a healthy journey.

When i started my healthy Journey over 2 years ago i didn't know what to buy i bought the wrong pants and sneakers for my specific workout. Thankfully a trainer at the gym i go to told me what was the best workout clothing and sneakers for me.

If you don't know what to get her. Buy a makeup pouch and add face cleaning wipes, hand sanitizer, headband, hair ties, and a gift card from her favorite green juice spot. I am sure she will enjoy it. It's basically like a Fitness care pouch.

Remember to have fun shopping ! and go for the deals !

DIY Face and Hair Mask

Hello Ladies ! I hope everyone enjoyed their Valentine's day weather it was staying at home and watching the new season of House of Cards on Netflix or going out with your love one's like i did. I went out with my best friend. We went to the movies and had the best cheat meal of the week. Burger, fries and a Haagen Dazs Dazzler.

This Saturday i decided to stay home and pamper myself. I do my weekly face and hair mask. I wanted to share with you this recipe that has been in my family for years and that all the girls in my family apply it. My mom passed it down on me and her mom passed it down to her and her sisters. It is very easy and it has plenty of nutrients. It's the Honey and Coconut oil mask. Yep only two products, it's that easy.

This is all you need. A bowl, a Tablespoon measure, organic coconut oil and Pure Honey. 100% natural.

Easy Healthy Dinner !

Hello girls. I haven't been posting lately on my blog due to overload of work. When I get home all i want is a relaxing bath and bed. Thankfully I have a long weekend. I didn't have to work today nor Monday due to Labor day. When I am home I love to cook it is one of my hobbies that I have for the past years. I admit i was not a good cook but little by little I have learned. I am all for healthy, easy recipes that won't take too long to make especially on my free day. So today I decided to share with you my dinner. My camera was on my dining room and I said to myself why not share my recipe. so here it is Stuffed red peppers.

Fresh Organic peppers from the Farmers Market

93% Organic Ground Beef

Stuff the peppers with meat !

Dinner Is ready !

Recipe

1 or 1/2 pound of lean ground meat. I used beef, but you can also make them with chicken or turkey.
season the meat with garlic, salt and pepper to taste and a bit of lemon juice.

Preheat your pan on medium and add
1 tbs - Olive Oil
add the meat and let it brown for 10 to 15 minutes then add 1/2 cup of natural tomato sauce or Pomi which is also natural tomato sauce you can get it at your near buy supermarket. let it simmer for another 15 minutes in total 30 minutes.

Meanwhile preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Then you will want to cut the top of your Peppers and deseed them. You can scrape all the inside with a small spoon.

fill the peppers with meat and spray a bit of olive oil in the baking pan. Put it in the oven for 25 to 30 minutes.

And their you have the stuffed peppers.

It's an easy recipe and also you can eat it how ever you want. I had  left over brown rice and avocado and decided to have it with that.

Enjoy !

Have a nice weekend

BTW first recipe on Blog !! YAY

Sun Care Protection For A Healthy Skin During Summer !

sun care

Now that summer is finally here everyone is ready to enjoy their summer by attending beaches, pools, parks or simply walks with the family. I have to admit that sometimes i tend to forget to take care of my skin. I have extremely sensitive skin and just for being half and hour outside i am already sun burn and i recognize it when I am applying lotion on my body by feeling the burn and itch and we all know that's no fun. I have decided to write a post on how  I personally protect my skin and hair from the sun.  Our skin is the largest organ in our body that is why it is really important to treat it well. Especially us girls we want to have an impeccable skin.

These are my must have on my everyday daily life. Sun hat I tend to carry mine during the summer not only is it stylish but it also protects my hair from getting all sun burn I also use on my hair a sunscreen mist. it is lightweight and it protects hair from sun exposure and it minimizes damage or dryness.  I also apply every time i can a lip balm that has SPF 15 such as the Burt's bees lip balm it is pretty affordable and can find it at any drugstore.

The number one product here is the Face and Body sunscreen I try to use one that has a high SPF and also rich in vitamins such as the brand SUPERGOOP!  I love it ! it is light and drys up in seconds. I also use Evian face mist. It is great to keep your face and body hydrated. And last but not least a good pair of Sunnies and plenty of water during the day the sun can cause dehydration and we don't want that we want a fun and exciting summer. Enjoy !

Spring is Finally Here & College Is Almost Over...

This week has been a bit compromising with school, my internship and trying to keep a social life. This past week I hurt my back that meant to not carry heavy boxes or working out. The doctor said I had to stay home because my body was reacting due to that  I am so exhausted and it is true I haven't had a moment to go and get a hair cut or to go and by my graduation dress which BTW is in two weeks. Due to so much work I couldn't stay home the whole week and relax so these are bits and pieces of what happen this week. Although I had two days to get back to normal and have some me time and meet with my BFF.

Spring is Finally Here !! Flowers are blooming Isn't this tree beautiful. Loving my neighborhood

I felt like Rapunzel my hair was so long and it was time to cut a couple of inches. I cut my hair in layers just to add a bit of volume.

One of my favorite places to go in Union Square if you live in NYC and you haven't tried Chloe's soft serve you must go. Is all organic and HEALTHY yes I know this deliciousness of dark chocolate with strawberries and dark chocolate chips are all natural and under 120 calories.

Of course i had to stop in the shoe department at Bloomingdales while dress shopping for my graduation. They would be great as a graduation gift.

bought new sandals at Ann Taylor Loft they are comfy, nude and great for spring and summer

A bit of my outfit. New Military jacket and My Louis Vuitton GM

New Year, New Body

New Year, New Body

Workout Pants / Running Sneakers / Water Bottle / Dumbbells / Yoga Mat / Hair Ties / Tee

The famous New Year resolution is to loose weight . I have included this year not to loose weight but to be healthy and fit. I think is time for me to change my lifestyle from the way I eat to the way I workout. I admit that I am lazy sometimes to get up and workout but when I see that I am loosing weight I get more motivated. In this post I have the typical girly outfit which it's a big motivation for me . I like to look cute when I workout I feel much better and overall i feel with more energy. I know it might sound a bit ridiculous but hey what ever makes you keep going on is going to help more. These are the basics for a good workout the Yoga mat for when I am doing crunches or have to lay down it's great because I don't hurt my back. the water bottle cannot be forgotten and a couple of hair ties because I really hate when I am doing some Cardio and my hair is all over the place. So what is your plan this year to stay FIT? Remember that is okay to indulge once a week in something you like its a combination of play hard and enjoying life.

Healthy Snack under 200 Calories !

Healthy snacks under 200 calories

When I was a freshman in College, I didn't know how to eat healthy and I was also a bit lazy also. I started taking a habit of eating really bad fast food. I would go out for lunch with my friends or would get the Cheeseburger deluxe from the school dining hall. I knew what I was doing was not good for my health. My excuse was " I am college student and i am too busy to prepare my meals at home or take my lunch or  snacks to school" I am sure you've heard students say that before. My freshman year of college was over.   I was very happy with my grades and making it through my first year  in college. My mom was proud of me, and I thought everything was okay until I went for my annual check up. I got weight in and they did some blood test. My Doctor sat with  me after and told me that I had gained 40 pounds !!!! I couldn't believe it. I knew I had put some weight which I have struggled since the age of 14, but not nothing that I couldn't control.

I started crying and I got scared that I was putting my health at risk. That summer I decided to change little by little my meals and to workout more. It was not easy but I was determined. I started feeling more energized, I was sleeping more and I was eating healthier. The months pass and it was time to go back to school I was afraid that I couldn't keep up with my eating healthy habits and that I would forget about everything that I was doing over the summer. But my inner voice said NO YOU CAN DO IT !! I decided to take that challenge and I am not going to lie sometimes I indulge in fast food not everyday maybe one or twice a month. But for most of the time I try to keep my healthy snacks with me. With that said I know it's super difficult sometimes to live a "Healthy lifestyle". But little by little you can do it. I am not saying to go and clear your fridge and go buy organic and healthy food  I am saying you start with drinking more water and instead of buying a fruit juice buy a fruit. The snacks i have included can fit in your school bag. These are some of my favorite snacks to take to school and overall for everyday. They are all less than 200 calories and delicious, which is the most important you want it to taste good and be good for you at the same time.

I included Starbucks because I am fan of coffee and I usually get a tall skinny caramel Machiatto. If you are craving something salty you could buy or make your own pita chips they are so good for you I also take plenty of fruit to satisfy my hunger. Now, I am not saying it's all I eat, for lunch I usually have a chicken salad, or Chicken and avocado wrap or whole grain pasta. It's all about portions. I hope you enjoy my Healthy snacks.
