Back To School Everyday Makeup

Back to school everyday makeup

Hi Ladies, I have been lost for this past year focusing on my masters and traveling also. I might of also fallen in love and met someone amazing but any who that is going to be another post for another day. I think today's post is just perfect due to that everyone is back to school including myself and i sometimes don't want to show up like a zombie that has not slept in days due to school overload.

I have put together my everyday makeup look on this post. I Literally cannot live without these products and this is my everyday makeup when i want to feel well put together or a live.

I understand sometimes is hard to wake up in the morning and put your face on but this look seriously takes five minutes. There is no foundation and no eye makeup involved. I will be listing each product on the bottom enjoy.

After I moisturize my face and prime, I apply these products and i have added numbers that way you know the steps.  You can find them here. 1, 2,3,4,5,6,7,8, 9

Favorite Beauty Products Of The Moment

Untitled #575

Lately It has been feeling more like Summer than Spring. It has been super sunny and hot. The past two weeks have been super stressful due to  studying intensely for my Grad school Exam. I took the exam this Saturday i hope everything goes well. Now i can finally calm and pamper my skin. I have combinations skin but this winter left my skin very bad with a couple dry patches and dryness. On some days i would only used my every day cleanser Cetaphil and moisturizer with SPF and maybe when i had chance a mask.

My plan for the next couple of weeks is to go back to my everyday routine. Sunday was all about relaxing and my skin. Not only face but all over. But since this post is only about face products i will try to keep it as short as i can.

Due to my highly sensitive skin I have adapted my skin to a regimen where i don't use too many products especially products that i know won't irritate my skin. On this post you are going to see everything except an under eye cream. Just bought a new eye cream and want to try it for a week or so before i share with you my thoughts.

I started using not long ago Clinique moisturizing gel due to that one of the girls from Sephora told me that gel penetrates to your skin while the lotion stays in the surface. I really love how the moisturizer glides softly around my face.

Another favorite product of mine is the Origins Charcoal Mask. This mask is amazing not only are my pores less visible after i apply this on my skin but i feel my face brighter. It doesn't leave my surface oily and it's full of goodness. It has been one of the best investment.

And my last favorite product is Coconut oil the holy grail !!! I mean DUH is COCONUT OIL . Have been using it for years. I can go on with a list of how i apply it or use it but this time i will give you an easy recipe. You will need 1/2 cup of coconut oil and 1/4 of a cup of Brown Sugar I buy organic.

Take your stand mixer and mix it for 5 minutes. It will be the softest scrub on earth. I apply it once a week to my face and lips. I try to get all that dead skin from my face and boy does it work. It makes my face feel brand new i am telling you ladies is a must. You can also apply this all over your body before bathing.

Hello November !

Minimal Faul look

November has finally arrived. I feel like October was the longest month ever ! November is going to be super fun and busy full of Family and tons of work. That means more relaxing outfits. Over the weekend I got inspired to make this comfortable outfit. Fall is great to rock your trench coat. It is divine and basically you can dress it up or down.   As most of you know i am all about Comfort and Classy.

This outfit is perfect for Brunch, a weekend walking around in the city or a movie night. It is also great to take with you while traveling. I added neutral tones and as you can see very comfortable shoes. These are the most comfortable shoes to walk around or if you have to stand for long period of time these are the famous TOD'S Loafers.  You can rock this outfit day and night. I hope it inspires you and it gives you a sense of how to use a trench coat on a regular basis during the Fall.

Have a great week !

Favorite Skin Care Products

Everyday body products

Its been a while since i have talked about my everyday body products. I decided to share with you today my everyday products from toothpaste to baby oil yep you heard it. I change some of my products from time to time but these are the products that i keep buying every month and have learn to love them.

I usually use a body scrub once a week. I started using a tree hut body scrub about 3 years ago. I saw it at Ulta loved the price and the quality of it. It smells yummy and leaves my skin renewed. The other product i have used for the longest is the Neutrogena Rainbath body wash, its simply one of my favorite. It is a great soap for a bubble bath and i even use it when i shave my legs. It leaves my skin super soft.

After I take a bath i usually like to use a body oil. I use to think that body oils would leave my body oily and i refuse to use any kind of oil until i started using Almond oil which my mom kept recommending and this Burts Bees Mama Bee body oil. I usually use it right after my bath when my skin is still damp. It is great to moisturize your skin and if you have stretch marks you can take a cotton ball and add some oil to it and apply it directly to your stretch marks. After a couple of weeks you will start seeing a change trust me. A

The other products are my regular day to day favorites such as my Hemp body moisturizer a burts bees foot cream my favorite one is the one that has coconut. It smells great and it leaves my foot soft as a baby. A new product that i bought new this month has been the Arm and Hammer advance white toothpaste and the listerine whitening restoring mouth wash. As an avid coffee and tea drinker my teeth are not the whitest. I decided to try these products. I am literally loving this combination. Even my mom said that my teeth are a bit brighter not that they are too stained but it helps me with my everyday. So what are your favorite products. Also, do you use any of these products if you do leave a comment.

Glam Glow Face Mask Review !

Hi Ya'll first i have to say is pardon my lateness i know i have had a couple of days without blogging but i wanted to make a rview on a product that i purchase a couple months ago and today finally is the day. Excuse my messy bun and 'green tea' face as my mom calls it. A couple months ago  I went to Sephora on a hunt for a new face toner. I have super oily skin and I felt like my old toner wasn't doing the job. While I was at the line about to pay i see a miniature size of GlamGlow face mask.

This product has been on the top of my list for a long time but the price and not knowing if i would get the same results would stop me from buying it. I said to myself is either now or never. At night before going to bed i usually cleanse my face. After washing my face i decided  to try the mask.

My first reaction was the strong smell of green tea, second that it had bits of pieces of leaves and third that it was a mud mask. When i applied it, it started burning especially around the nose and cheek area. I have huge pores around that area. After a minute or so the tingling stop the mask dried and face was really tight. After 10 minutes i removed the mask and my first thought was WOW my face is much lighter, my pores had shrink a bit and my face was soft as a baby.

My face was not oily and  the mini white heads i had on my chin had erupted. It has been over 3 months now and i can say i love it i am so happy with the results. I use this mas 1 once a month or if i have something important to do and need my face a bit brighter. My face is super soft, tight and pores are looking great. I am SOLD. After the small jar was empty i decided to buy yhe normal size jar. It's totally worth the money.

You can find it at your nearest Sephora.

New Favorite Drugstore Products

Happy Friday  ladies ! I wanted to share with you gals my new drugstore products that I have been loving lately. I ordered these online and i simply couldn't wait until they arrived to try them. I got them a two weeks ago and since them i have been using them non stop.

I am very picky with the products i purchase especially if its for my face. Due to having super sensitive skin. I decided to give it a try to the new Cetaphil Cleansing Cloths. I use Cetaphil products for my face and body and thought these would be great for removing my makeup or after the gym.

I am in total awe about these wipes. They are soft, don't leave any residue,  it doesn't irritate my skin and is orderless. This products it is just like the cleansers it cleans your face and it leaves it soft.  The other products that i have been very hype about have been the Mabelline Baby skin pore eraser primer. I am a sucker for packaging . I already have the baby lip product and i love it . I said to myself why not try these. At the beggining i was a bit skeptocal due to that i have sensitive combination skin and this product was  clear, oily and it looked like gel. I applied it near my cheeks where my pores are visible i can say i like it is okay i don't think i will be repurchasing the product due to that i dont like the consistency of it. A product that i am happy that i purchase is the St Ives oatmeal scrub + mask. Is great i love it. I use it about 3 times per week especially after my workout.

It leaves my face clean, without any residue and is great also for those days when you wake up and feel like your skin is acting up or is simply too oily. The other products i purchase were the L'Oreal  true  match concelear is great and very similar to my mac pro one and a color balm. I always carry It on my bag it moisturizes your lips smell great and it gives you that extra touch of glam.

So what are your favorite drugstore products? Have a nice weekend !

My Everyday Makeup

Untitled #543

I am not the kind of Gal that wears heavy makeup everyday. In fact i don't use foundation unless i have a special event to attend or a makeup look that needs foundation. Or simply i am having a bad skin day which is rarely.

From the moment i discovered makeup i have always used powder. A couple years ago Revlon came out with a mineral powder that contained coconut water. I felt in love with it and since then this has been my go to everyday face powder.

I love that is loose and that you have the control to take as much as you can. Thank God I've never had acne problems only when that time of the month comes around a simple here and their zit. That is why i don't truly think i need that much makeup i want to look and feel like myself yet don't feel like i am carrying a couple of pounds of makeup.

I decided to show you guys my favorite products that i use everyday and can say i have been faithful to them because simply why change if they work miracles on those mornings your dark circles have gone wild.

Here i have seven products. the first is the concealer. After  I have washed my face, applied my face moisturizer and have let it dry i apply my concealer on places i need it such on my under eyes, around the nose and on my chin that's where i want to cancel the redness of my skin.

The first time i tried FAKEUP by benefit was over the summer. I am going through my second one at the moment i can say it does more than the job it also moisturize the places you applied concealer.

I then apply my Revlon mineral powder all over my face and a bit extra on places i get super oily like my T Zone.

My ultimate favorite bronzer of all time. I am already hitting pan have used it for over two years. is by mac cosmetics is name it's name is Refined Golden.

Eyeliner love that i can make the line as thick or thin as i want. This eyeliner is same as Bobbi Brown or Mac it does the job and it's smooth. I then apply my other 3 benefit products that i will say works miracles. It's the They're Real Mascara, Benefit Whatts Up highlighter and High Brow pencil.

The brow pencil is perfect if you haven't had time to get your brows done. I just apply it under my brow and it conceals the are and makes it look brighter. I then apply my highlighter on my cheek bone and nose and any other place i need to. And for last the lipstick of the day which i left out because i change my lipstick almost everyday if not just a plaid nude color.

Those are all the products i use everyday. Which are your favorite products for your everyday makeup?

My Christmas Wish List

wishlist

Happy Monday Ladies ! Christmas music is on, Poinsettias around the house and Christmas Tree coming together . I said to myself perfect timing to post my Christmas Wish list. This year is less about clothing, makeup and more about accessories and pieces that i will truly use and not only have it wandering around in my room and never use it or wear it.

I have also included a cookbook of one my favorite Food Network stars Ina Garten. I love watching her and i love all the food she makes. I enjoy baking but one of my goals for this upcoming year is to perfect my cooking skills. So why not with new recipes.

The most expensive piece in my Christmas wish list is the Fendi bag. I love it and it's basically the ultimate bag that every girls need to compliment every outfit. I have also included a pair of simple pointy toe heels. I have been looking for a pair of heels with a touch of glam and these are perfect with the gold touch on the heel and around the shoe. They are simply perfect plus at a great prize. If you notice most of the gift that are on my wish list are pretty affordable from target to Asos.

What is one thing that you wish for this year.

I have left on the bottom all the products. You know just in case you want to add them to your wish list.

MY Everyday Makeup Storage and Bath & Body Works Haul

Hello Ladies this week I decided to share with you one part of my makeup collection. This is how I organize my everyday makeup. It is much easier for me also if i buy something new i usually leave it outside that way i won't forget. As you can see i have some of my eye and lip pencils on a bath and body works candle jar. I think it is great way to organize your makeup and also you can re use your candle jars so that is a double win.

On the right I I have an Anthropologie monogrammed mug filled up with the brushes that I have used during the week. I usually take those dirty brushes and wash them on the weekend. The lipstick holder which I got 3 years ago at the container store I keep my favorite lipsticks that I am going to use or have used during the past week.

I also did a bit of damage during labor day sales.  I ordered some of my favorite fall candles they were 2 for 22 so i had to whoop up a couple for the house. I already started burning Pumpkin cupcake and my house smells delicious and like Fall. As you can see I also ordered one of my favorite body wash which it smells like heaven and it's great for those long stressful nights and my favorite Bath and Body Works lotion which is soft, calming and rich in vitamin E.

Favorite Drugstore Beauty Products...

Hello girls, I hope everyone is enjoying the last days of August.  To tell you the truth I am ready for Autumn to arrive. Meanwhile I have fallen in love with a couple of beauty mostly drugstore products. A couple weeks ago I was with one of my Best friends waiting to get our eyebrows done and we had to wait about 20 minutes we decided to go to our a nearest drugstore. And since i have to buy something when i enter a drugstore i decided to get  a couple of new things that I have never have tried before . Such as the Aussie hair products. I usually use Moroccan oil or other hair product, but that day I was also having a bad hair day and I couldn't manage my curly hair. My best friend says, I heard Aussie products are pretty good. And that is where I decided to try the brand.

I went picked up the hair insurance and the leave in Mousse. I love the texture it gives to my curls. It doesn't leave your hair sticky or hard.  I am happy that I found new hair products that are amazing. I also tried for the first time the Rimmel London BB cream and Primer. It leaves my skin smooth and it gives  me a medium coverage which its what I want It also last all day. also I got them at 40% off. Gotta love the deals.

I also got a new moisturizer its the Estee Lauder Clear Difference advanced oil control hydrator it is great if you have oily skin it leaves it matte.  Its absolutely lovely even my mom has applied it a couple of times and adores it. And the last couple of things I got was the new Revlon "lash potion" mascara,  I have actually used it almost everyday in the month of August. Another good drugstore mascara.

My last two products that adore is the new Maybelline Master Smoky eye liner. What I like about this is that you have 2 products in one it is a regular eyeliner but it also has a small sponge at the other end which can give you a smoky affect. And or last, a  my new MAC lipstick "honey love" is a beautiful nude that goes with any kind of makeup. Can't say no to a nude lipstick.

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend !

Sun Care Protection For A Healthy Skin During Summer !

sun care

Now that summer is finally here everyone is ready to enjoy their summer by attending beaches, pools, parks or simply walks with the family. I have to admit that sometimes i tend to forget to take care of my skin. I have extremely sensitive skin and just for being half and hour outside i am already sun burn and i recognize it when I am applying lotion on my body by feeling the burn and itch and we all know that's no fun. I have decided to write a post on how  I personally protect my skin and hair from the sun.  Our skin is the largest organ in our body that is why it is really important to treat it well. Especially us girls we want to have an impeccable skin.

These are my must have on my everyday daily life. Sun hat I tend to carry mine during the summer not only is it stylish but it also protects my hair from getting all sun burn I also use on my hair a sunscreen mist. it is lightweight and it protects hair from sun exposure and it minimizes damage or dryness.  I also apply every time i can a lip balm that has SPF 15 such as the Burt's bees lip balm it is pretty affordable and can find it at any drugstore.

The number one product here is the Face and Body sunscreen I try to use one that has a high SPF and also rich in vitamins such as the brand SUPERGOOP!  I love it ! it is light and drys up in seconds. I also use Evian face mist. It is great to keep your face and body hydrated. And last but not least a good pair of Sunnies and plenty of water during the day the sun can cause dehydration and we don't want that we want a fun and exciting summer. Enjoy !

Favorite Hair Products For This Summer

hair

Hi y'all !! this week I decided to talk about my favorite hair products that i have been using lately. Lets talk about my hair..... ugh one of my biggest challenges. I have long, dark and curly hair, that means that in the  summer my hair is basically up most of the time or on a side braid or ponytail. Having curly hair I have to hydrate my hair because it tends to be a bit dry. I would buy the most expensive hair mask to keep my hair hydrated and feeling silky. As I have said before I like to use organic and natural products on my hair. well i try...... so this summer i decided that I want to show off my natural curly hair and not be afraid of getting to puffy or tangled.

I have been hearing for a long time about Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray at first I didn't believe in it but last week when I bought it I gave it a try and I have to say that it is addicting I simply LOVE it. I use it on damp and dry hair. After I blow dry my hair I spray a bit to the end and wrap it up in a bun and WALA after 10 minutes I have beach waves and when I have damp hair my curl hold on together and look fabulous.  I am in love ! this is one of my new favorite hair products. My second favorite product is the Bumble and Bumble Sunday shampoo. This shampoo is great for once a week, I use it twice it does what it says it cleans your scalp and hair from all of the products you have been applying to your hair to keep it together. It smells divine and you only need a bit to wash your hair. I was a bit scared due to that I have a lot of hair and the bottle is small but I still have more than half.

And the last product I recommend is Coconut oil. What can I say I use it to cook, as a moisturizer and also as a hair mask. I apply it before washing my hair for 20 minutes. Then I wash it off using my regular shampoo and I love it it leaves your hair super soft and it smells  AMAZING !! Plus coconut oil is great nutrient for your hair it helps with the growth of your hair. and its even good if you have dandruff. So If you haven't tried it and you want an inexpensive hair mask try coconut oil. the jar cost me less than 6 bucks at trader Joe's. What a Bargain !!

So what are your favorite hair products for this summer ?

First Birchbox Ever !

This week I have been home due to that I injured my back on my way to my job. I didn't put mind to it and I ended up going to the Emergency room on Sunday how fun. I was in serious pain i couldn't sit or lay down or go up and down the stairs It was pretty bad after waiting I went in and the doctor  said I had an inflammation and I had to rest for 3 to 4 days without working out or going  to school. I decided today since i didn't have nothing to do to write a review on my first BIRCHBOX ever. I am so happy i joined I was like a little girl asking my mom everyday if my Birchbox had come. It finally came like 2 weeks ago I was so excited to open it. Out of all the products that it brought my absolute favorite is the new Nexxus Youth Renewal Elixir I am in love with it after applying it one day my hair looks more shiny and healthy. It is light and it smells delicious. I also loved the StriVectin- SD eye cream. I know that this sample will last me for a long time, you just have to dab a bit under the eye and massage it. I have notice a difference under my dark circles. so that's a win win.

Casual Fun Shopping Day....

Hi Ladies I apologize or being lost this week and not posting anything. I have been a but busy with college. You know the typical 20 page paper three weeks before graduation and my thesis. Yesterday After my morning class I decided to venture around Union Square in NYC and go to my favorite places and do the ordinary Saturday fun. I got a couple of stuff which I am really proud that I acquire them. SO here they area.

New  Mac products from the Extra Dimension Collection. Totally In love with the highlighter/ bronzer (shape the future) on the right it's great for contouring your face. I also got a mineralize skin finish powder, The Beautiful Coral blush (blazing haute) and a new lip liner saw it on one of the makeup artist and felt in love with it. It's the perfect pink (Hip N Happy).

As all of you know I have been working very hard the past month on changing my everyday lifestyle into a more normal healthy lifestyle. I bought a pair of sneakers almost a year ago I love them they are great for my workouts. But I thought that after working so hard and seeing the results i would reward myself with a pair of new kicks. I own a pair of lunar glide witch are great for walking but  I have been jogging lately trying to get to run so I thought that these free runs would be just perfect. It has the perfect touch of pink. I also got a pair of headbands i hate my hair all over the place while i am working out it is super annoying.  I think these would be Great plus they were on sale.

The last place i stopped before going home was Whole Foods just to buy a couple of things for the week. I already had gone to my local supermarket so that's why their is not that much.  I don't know if you could spy fresh hydrangeas. I just had to get them not only they are my favorite but they only cost 10 bucks !!!!!  had to have them my mom is in love with them.

3 Steps For A Bright Beautiful Face

Untitled #490

        blush concealer / mascara

If I could ask for three wishes the first wish I would ask for would be to have a perfect skin. An Immaculate firm and illuminated face. And that in the morning they would tell me you have an impeccable face. But that always doesn't happen. Of course it depends on what you eat, how you hydrate your skin, if you use sunscreen and if you take off your makeup before going to sleep. Which I know sometimes were tired and we want to just lay in our comfy bed but is a MUST.  On those days where I have spent all night studying for an exam and I feel like I need a fresh face the next morning I just go through my three steps. It consist of  Concealer, Mascara and Blush. I cannot leave my home without these three products. these products made me have a nice morning face.

Mascara-  currently I am using the Maybelline Rocket Volume. If you notice when you apply mascara on your lashes that once you have applied one coat your eyes look bigger due to that the lashes are perky and curled. (of course if you use a lash curler which I recommend using one) This is a must I apply mascara about 2 to 3 times a day it makes me feel awake.

Concealer- I basically cannot live without it, due to not sleeping well and having to wake up early in the morning I have dark circles under my eyes. I just slap on some concealer and WALA ! magically my dark circles disappear. Thank God who ever invented concealer.

Blush- the last product I use is BLUSH, I believe that if you don't have natural rosy cheeks, just with a touch of Blush your face will look for awake and give you that natural look you just need a bit not that much.

Those were my 3 steps for a bright beautiful face.

HAPPY FRIDAY

Products That I am Currently Loving

Over this past month I have been loving a couple of products that I currently got and also products I bought a couple months ago. About a week ago I paid a visit to my local drugstore and I got the Nivea lips Butter in Vanilla & Macadamia Kiss. This has become my obsession; if I am not wrong I believe I apply it maybe 10 times a day. I know I am addicted. My lips are smoother which it's great because during the winter time I always get the dry chappy lips. Sorry for so much information but it is the truth. I am going to go back and stock up on some more. I also bought the Wet n Wild new collection that is under Fergie's name in Flossy Flossy, gotta love the sparkles, I love how it last long and how the nail polish is affordable which is great for us that are on a budget and don't want to spend over 8 dollars on a sparkly nail polish. The other products are the usual, my all time favorite Chanel lipstick in BOY, Revlon color stay liquid eye pen, Wet n Wild nail polish for only $1.99 what a bargain right? I also have my mom’s eyelash curler, sorry mom if you don't find yours but I like yours more than mine. Don't know what brand  it is, all I know is that it curls my eyelashes perfectly.

Want To Have Perfect Feet ? Here Are The Steps

Sometimes it's difficult to keep up with everything in your personal life or job and we tend to forget to take care of our skin, nails or feet. As a busy college student I barely have time. but I try to at least take care of my feet once a week although I admit sometimes I forget. But I found the easiest way to always have your feet nice, moisturize and not DRY it's one of my biggest pet peeve to have dry cracked soles. I mean who wants that,  no one especially us girls. Here are some of the products I use and some you can find in your kitchen and also very affordable.

Here are the Steps

1. Exfoliate your feet once a week, What i do is mix 1 to 2 tablespoon of brown sugar with 1lemon. I squeeze the juice of 1 lemon and mix it with the brown sugar. I exfoliate for 2 to 3 minutes on each foot.

2. After I exfoliate I moisturize my cuticles, I use olive oil and rub it all around my cuticles and toe nails I leave it for 5 minutes and I wash it after.

3. After I have exfoliated and moisturized my cuticles I apply Almond oil. Almond oil is very good for you skin because it moisturize your skin on top of that is natural.

4. After I have moisturize my foot I put on a pair of cotton socks and sleep with it over night.

I do this once a week before going to bed, of course everyday when I take a bath I apply Almond oil I use it as my foot and body moisturizer.  Trust me you will have the softest, and nicest feet and soles. It is also very relaxing to do. You can find the olive oil at your local grocery store and the almond oil in a natural store, or Amazon, I buy mine at Whole Foods Supermarket.

Have Fun

Are you the kind of girl that doesn't like to dress up too much during the holiday but still want to be part of it. I recommend getting your nails done in a Christmas theme. If you're more casual you can go with the plain red, green or glittery nail polish. But if you want to spice up your nails in Christmas time. I suggest you look at these DIY nail art pictures. They are so cute some more scandalous then others but over all all perfect for Christmas.
